Light role-playing is involved and costuming is encouraged, with every passenger being assigned a unique character and given a sheet with information known only to them. However, rules are simple enough that no dedicated referee is needed. Players speak in character to each other, trading information with other passengers, while trying to be the one to discover the murderer.
